“Poinsettia Power” Christmas Card

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 8.

I am reminded of a time when our greenhouse was full of poinsettias. The intensity of color was breathtaking. I appreciate the power of a poinsettia as we use it to adorn our homes and churches and give as gifts. This “power “ can light up a space, remind us of the past, bring us joy, energize our spirit, and show we care. The truth is we must keep these plants watered, keep them warm and give them special attention so they will last more than a season, much like nurturing relationships.

Experience “Poinsettia Power”.

“Quiet Moments” Christmas Card

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 8.

Often while walking at night I am struck by the color of the sky and how it alters the color of the darkest shadows. I find “Quiet Moments” on these walks and feel peaceful and relaxed in the color and quiet of the night. I often wonder where the animals are hiding and if they feel safe. I feel like they need a little Christmas too – a Christmas tree in the dark.

May you find comfort even in the darkness.

“Deer Sighting” Notecard

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 8.

As a child my father would tell us to look for deer in fields and on the side of the road as we traveled. We were so excited and relieved when we spotted one. . . usually at dusk. At times of uncertainty and struggle I often yearn to connect with my father and I am often sent a “Deer Sighting” to let me know everything will work out for good.

In this painting the deer is waiting in the fog to be discovered, surrounded by the warm colors of nature. I am always grateful and comforted to experience the gift of a deer sighting.

Notice the gifts around you.

“Miracles” Notecard

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 8.

This year I have been around someone who has experienced a real miracle – the kind that can only be explained by the Grace of God and the Power of Prayer. In this painting I tried to demonstrate the balance of cold days with the joy of life and the confidence that God will protect and provide. Cardinals love the winter and their beauty shows bright. I know some birds migrate and others don’t. Either way . . . they do not worry about what they will eat or where they will shelter. God has this all figured out.

May you find joy wherever you are.

“Unexpected Growth” Notecard

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 6 in Series 3, Nature’s Moments

While sitting on my porch, I noticed a fern that seemingly grew rapidly before my eyes. Even though it was planted in a hanging pot, the stalks grew long and strong into the air, reaching for all the light it could get. During 2020, many of us were stuck in one place but yearned to reach out to others, yearned for light so much that we grew in unexpected ways like this fern. With pent up energy, we burst forth despite the pottery’s limit.

Grow heartily where you are planted.

“Carmell’s Light” Notecard

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 6 in Series 3, Nature’s Moments

Hydrangeas represent deep emotion and a desire to understand. This painting is in memory of a dear friend who passed away unexpectedly, and hydrangeas were her favorite flower.

Even though I did not know Carmell very long, she was an inspiration to me. She impacted all who knew her, and she could boldly and lovingly light up a room just like hydrangeas do. Love one another, and make every moment count.

“Edge of the Water” Notecard

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 8 in Series 2, Nature’s Delight

It was a warm summer day at the beach. Lin found a moment to wander out to find a shady spot under the pier. The ocean breeze was fantastic, and the pier’s weathered boards normally looked gray, but this particular day the wood seemed so colorful. As usual, Lin had her watercolors with her on the beach and wanted to capture a glimpse of a peaceful relaxing moment at the “Edge of the Water”.

Peace!

“Flaming Sky” Notecard

$3.50
Sold separately, or as one in a set of 8 in Series 2, Nature’s Delight

This watercolor was done when Lin was just 13. She learned much about art and painting from her grandmother. This painting was done after spending some time with her. She had just learned the salt technique and enjoyed experimenting, creating the texture in the lower portion of the painting.

This piece was submitted by her art teacher to a statewide art show where Lin won first place. It is a reminder that even at an early age, painting was Lin’s passion.

It’s fun to remember when God instilled those ideas.

Pay attention to what kids do. It could be a glimpse of their purpose in life.
